At Lomond Campers, we believe that a campervan isn’t just a vehicle — it’s a gateway to freedom. This past weekend, we took our 99th stock van — a freshly converted 2020 Renault Trafic Sport — on a quick local trip to explore a couple of hidden gems in the Lomond Hills and Falkland Estate.
📍 Stop 1: Craigmead Car Park
Nestled high in the hills just above Falkland, Craigmead Car Park is a popular starting point for hikes and a surprisingly peaceful overnight parking spot. With room to pop the roof, enjoy the views, and settle in for a tranquil night, it’s exactly what a stock Lomond Camper is made for.
We captured some great moments here — showcasing how easy it is to park up, lift the pop-top roof, and enjoy an off-grid evening with nothing but the sound of the wind in the trees.
📍 Stop 2: Falkland Estate (Maspie Den Entrance)
Our second location was found closer to the heart of Falkland Estate, near the entrance to the popular Maspie Den walk. While we’re not sure overnight camping is permitted here, it made for a perfect stop-off on the way to or from a walk.
We parked up under the trees, surrounded by woodland and historic estate walls — a beautiful place to take a break or prep a quick campervan lunch before heading to Craigmead for the night.
